Clarence R. Watson III

Clarence (he/him) is an Oakland resident and Founder/Owner of CRW Film Group and Media Production. Born at Travis Air Force Base, CA, he joined the US Marine Corps in 2001 and attended SOI (School of Infantry) at Camp Pendleton, CA. During his military career, Sgt. Watson served as a Mortarman Assistant Gunner, Assault Man, Crew Serve Assistant Gunner and Assistant Battalion Operations NCO Section.
He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a a part of 1st Battalion 14th Marines Taskforce MP with direct and supporting military operations in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.
 In 2007, he transferred from the US Marine Corps to the US Army Reserves 308th Chemical Company (Heavy)-Special Mission. 
Sgt. Watson was a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist-Decontamination Squad Leader and later transferred to the 351st Civil Affairs Command, US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command to serve as the CBRN Specialist and Training NCO. 

Sgt. Watson has worked for such agencies as the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and US Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Division. He is currently assigned as a Law Enforcement Instructor/Trainer with the US government and State of California.
In civilian life, he works as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the US Department of Defense and has worked in the film industry since 1986.
In the film and television industry he has worked on projects such as HBO’s “Looking,” Hulu's “Chance,” “When We Rise,” “Silicon Valley” and “13 Reasons Why.” His recent film work includes “Steve Jobs” and he is currently working on “War Zone: Zombie Apocalypse.” Sgt. Watson’s education includes Film and Television Production, Solano College; and Film and Media, Laney College. He is a graduate of the Napa Valley Police Academy; US Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Academy; US Army Civil Police Academy; US Department of Veterans Affairs Police Academy; and US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear School, Ft. Leonard Wood.

He is currently working towards a degree in Intelligence and Counterterrorism. His awards include the National Defense Ribbon, Iraqi Freedom medal, Global War on Terrorism medal and Expeditionary medal, Marine Reserve Medal, Oversees Service medal, the Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve medal, Army Achievement medal, Army Commendation medal, Outstanding Volunteer medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Civilian Service medal.
