Tai'Rance S. Kelly Sr., is a intersex/trans man who is a native of "Chilanta", which is a mix of Chicago and Atlanta. In his role as Training & Outreach Coordinator, he develops workshops and trainings, creates outreach strategies, and works with our most "at risk" and marginalized community members, to support them in their efforts to live healthier and happier lives. A major focus of his work is to help improve health outcomes for all gay, bisexual and transgender people through education, health screenings, HIV testing and linkages to treatment and other wellness services.
Tai'Rance earned his Masters of Public Administration & Policy from Grand Canyon University, and is currently working towards his Doctorate of Education and Organizational Leadership. He is a single father, a mentor, and an activist.
"I believe in unity and standing in my truth. I enjoy being a front runner and bridging the gap to make the world a safer and better place for my community. I love doing public speaking events to educate the world about being trans and the experiences that we go through on an everyday basis. Being a consumer of mental health services, I also advocate for those with mental health challenges and those that need to be supported after prison. I do volunteer work including: feeding the homeless, back to school projects, provide care assistance pre and post, and I do these things as much as possible."
