GLENN BURKE WELLNESS Clinic

Welcome to Oakland's Glenn Burke Wellness Clinic (GBWC), a project of the Oakland LGBTQ Community Center, working in partnership with
LifeLong Medical Care. GBWC
 is conveniently located inside of the  Oakland LGBTQ  Community  Center at 3207 Lakeshore Ave. (please use the Rand ave entrance) .

The Center's GBWC offers the following LGBTQ+ centered & affirming services on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, from 12pm-6pm :

  • Medical benefits enrollment for low income individuals

  • MPOX vaccinations (see below)

  • Hormone injection assistance & gender care referrals

  • HIV/STI/STD testing and treatment

  • doxy-PEP (reduce risk of chlamydia, gonorrhea, & syphilis)

  • Linkages to rapid anti-retroviral HIV treatment (ART) initiation

  • PEP & PrEP enrollment for HIV prevention

  • PrEP in pill form or Injectable PrEP services are available

  • Tele-health /PrEP delivered to your home

  • Anal Health (fissure, anal warts, rectal GC/CT) treatment and management

  • Contraception counseling & management

  • Hepatitis C screening and management

  • Free safer sex packets (condoms, lube, etc.)

  • Patient navigation & linkages to primary care providers

  • Spanish translation services

  • Wellness services coordination & care management

  • Youth sexual health counseling and support services

  • LGBTQ + peer support group services

MPOX (formerly Monkeypox)
MPOX clinics are held two (2) Tuesdays per month, in partnership with Alameda County Public Health Department and are administered inside of the Center's Glenn Burke Clinic. No appointment necessary . 3207 Lakeshore ave., Rand ave entrance

We also offer linkages to other services such as emergency rental and housing assistance, food,  mental health,  substance use disorder linkages,  legal resources  and  more.  

Most of our clinic services are free or can be covered by your medical provider. We can also help you enroll with a medical provider if you don't have one.
