Call to Action
The Oakland LGBTQ Center Call to Action — the center is a lifeline for so many in our community—providing youth and elder support services, trans services, medical care, housing assistance, mental health services, and support to community members struggling with addiction. Now, that lifeline is under threat. Since December 2024, we have seen a steep drop in individual and corporate donor support. Federal funding that we currently receive for programs to prevent HIV among youth and low-income people of color hangs in the balance. In fact, our ability to apply for federal grants has been severely diminished just because the administration refuses to acknowledge trans and queer identities. We can't let that happen. Please donate and protect a place that protects us all.

Plan Giving Program
Thank you for standing with the LGBTQ+ community. Your decision to join our Giving Plan is more than just a donation — your generosity helps us build a world where every individual can live openly, safely, and with pride.

Thanks to your support, this will help expand access to critical resources like mental health services, housing assistance, legal aid, affirming healthcare, education, and advocacy rights. You’re helping create safe spaces, challenge harmful legislation, and empower people to be their true selves.

In a time when many LGBTQ+ people still face discrimination, violence, and inequality, your gift sends a clear message: you see and support us — your gift makes that happen.

Living Will
Thank you for creating a legacy of love and equality by including our organization in your Living Will — it is a powerful expression of your values, but a deeply compassionate act that will continue to uplift and protect LGBTQ+ lives.
Your legacy will help us provide vital services — from housing, safe spaces, and mental health care to advocacy, education; the range of services for LGBTQ+ individuals who need them most. We are honored by your trust.
If you wish, we would love to acknowledge your legacy in our donor community (privately or publicly), or you may remain anonymous. We’re here to support you in making any arrangements you need.
