The Oakland LGBTQ Community Center, with a generous contribution made by Citi, has launched our first emergency housing assistance fund. This fund will allow the Center to provide emergency rental assistance, to low-income individuals and families, living in Oakland and Alameda County. The purpose of the fund is to prevent homelessness before it happens.
The Center's new emergency rental and housing assistance fund, will only be available until the funds run out. Our goal is to identify other corporations, foundations, and major donors, to join with the Center, to help keep this service funded in order to support the neediest and most marginalized community members in Oakland and Alameda County. We envision a future where all Oakland and Alameda County residents have affordable, safe and secure housing, but until that day, we will need your generous support.
